Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the AIChE Crew Tracker (the "Platform"), operated by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) student club at The University of Texas at Austin ("AIChE at UT Austin," "we," "us," or "our"). The Platform is run by a student organization and is not an official service of The University of Texas at Austin. By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. By using it, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older.

2. Your Account

• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
• Accounts are for your personal use as a participant, coordinator, or organizer.

3. Acceptable Use

When using the Platform, you agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent quest submissions or evidence.
• Submit work or evidence that is not yours or that you do not have permission to share.
• Attempt to manipulate scores or interfere with the competition or its scoring.
• Harass other participants or post unlawful, offensive, or infringing content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, other accounts, or its systems.

4. Submissions and Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit. By submitting content (including notes and evidence links), you grant us permission to store, display, and use it for the purpose of operating the competition, including showing your name and points on the public scoreboard.

5. Scoring and Moderation

Coordinators, administrators, and organizers may review submissions and approve, reject, or adjust points, and may make manual score corrections. Scoring and moderation decisions are at our discretion and are considered final for the purposes of the competition.

6. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, remove, or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, including for violations of these Terms or to protect the integrity of the competition. You may stop using the Platform at any time and may request account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that scores will be free of errors.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AIChE at UT Austin and its officers, members, and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. The Platform is a voluntary student club activity.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be subject to the courts located in Texas.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the version and ask you to review and accept the updated terms the next time you sign in.
